Dota 2 Reporter October 13th

The shuffle madness has come to end but that does not mean that the drama has come to and end. This report will go over the usual dose of Dota dealing going on as well as some team drama at the expense of one of the most respected players in the competitive scene (may not be the case anymore though).

I am sure all of you have read and know what has been going on with the fiasco known as team Secret. The surprise of many the internal dealings of the company were not as transparent as many of us believed to be. It has come to light through Eternal Envy’s blog that team Secret has not been paying their players, and instead has been stealing from them. Eternal Envy’s blog is accompanied with an equally insightful blog from Misery providing a look through Misery’s experience on the team. You can ready Eternal Envy’s blog here and Misery’s here for a better picture of details from the horses mouth.

With the drama behind the window now on to some real Dota talk. The next major has been announced and it will take place in Boston. I am sure valve thought this out but It will be interesting to see how the teams react to the frigid Eastern climates during the heart of winter. The Qualifiers for the next major will take place October 23rd to 30th, get your team ready!

Norther Beat Arena a new Canadian tournament recently finished up their closed qualifiers for the LAN which is set to take place in Montreal, Quebec from November 11 – 13th. FDL beat out Eternal Envy’s team to take the only qualifier spot for the LAN. FDL will join directly invited teams Alliance, Complexity, DC, EG, Ehome Liquid, and Wings gaming. Quite a divers range of teams attending the LAN, should a great one.

Lastly it is that time of the year again. The boys at Beyond the Summit are holding there 6th edition of the summit. The qualifiers are currently taking place which decides the teams traveling down the studio for the LAN. The qualifiers will join invited teams Wings, OG, EG, DC, and up until recently Secret who withdraw due to some might say related to the recent drama, but who really knows.
